Char Downs
Char Downs has worked utilizing some form of art medium all her life. When she attended public school, art classes were not offered in Texas or Oklahoma. She self trained until attending college art classes in her 23rd year as her 6 year old daughter started first grade.
She graduated with a BFA from the University of Hawai’i at Manoa in the summer of 1977 and received a 5th Year Professional Secondary Art Education Degree at the end of that same year.
She has shown work globally, winning awards along the way.
