Erica Meuser
Erica Ann Meuser was born in l961 in Akron, Ohio.
From the age of three she has been a self-taught artist, with ample encouragement from her mother who is also an artist.
In 2002, one year after the 9/11 tragedy, she went back to school to complete her first degree, and to pursue a second degree, a BFA in painting and printmaking. She is still a self-taught artist but her work has become more profound as a result of her deeper commitment to her art.
In 2005, she began a series of self-portraiture images in monotype titled In America’s Wake as a continued expression of her own personal anxiety for the war in Iraq. In 2006, as a KFW Grant recipient, Erica began speaking and touring this work throughout the state of Kentucky.

Life: Beginning and End SOLD
Life: Beginning and End was created while I was a student at the University of Kentucky where I learned printmaking from Kathy Berry and Ross Zirkle. It was the beginning of my printed self-portraiture images portraying myself and my sons living in this lifetime.
