Sarah Jane Gray
Sarah Jane Gray is currently in her third year as an MFA candidate in studio art at the University of Kentucky, with an emphasis in ceramics and drawing. In addition to figurative and abstract ceramic sculpture, she has created works in charcoal, graphite, paint, and gum bichromate photography.
Since August 2005, Sarah Jane has also served as art gallery director and exhibit curator for her alma mater, Asbury College in Wilmore, KY.
Sarah Jane’s works have been exhibited in a number of venues, including the Mt. Scott Arts Center in Portland, OR, the Rogue Buddha Gallery in Minneapolis, MN, and the Grantham Church Gallery in Grantham, PA. Her 2004 ceramic sculpture, Burdened, is on permanent display in the Asbury College Center for Counseling in Wilmore, KY. More works may be viewed locally at the Art Depository Gallery in Nicholasville, KY, as well as Christ Church Cathedral, Coldstream Research Facility, and UK’s Gillis Hall in Lexington, KY.
Sarah Jane currently lives in Lexington with her husband, Silas, and an incorrigible one-eyed cat named Dingo.
