What is a Car-Individual Development Account or IDA?

The Car-IDA program is funded by the Allstate Foundation and serves as a stepping-stone to financial stability through the purchase of a vehicle. This program is only offered to survivors of domestic violence who have not already participated in the IDA-classic program.

Eligibility for the IDA program requires that applicants meet certain income guidelines, which are based on TWICE the federal poverty level for a given family size. Click here for more information. Applicants also cannot have over $10,000 in net worth.
