Kentucky Asset Success Initiative (KASI) is a broad-based collaborative effort dedicated to promoting economic self-sufficiency for low-income families in Kentucky. In addition to operating Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) sites, member agencies offer a variety of asset-building services, including financial education, free credit reports and counseling, and matched savings accounts.
This year KASI’s partners are offering free tax preparation at 64 sites in at least 60 counties across the state.
KASI coalition partners include:
Barren River Asset-Building Coalition – serving Warren, Barren, Allen, Edmonson, Logan, and Monroe counties
Bluegrass Asset-Building Coalition – serving Franklin, Owen, Scott, Madison, Mercer, Anderson, Woodford, Jessamine, Boyle, Lincoln, Garrard, and Pulaski counties
Central Kentucky Economic Empowerment Project – serving Fayette, Clark, Bourbon, Nicholas, and Harrison counties
Eastern Kentucky Asset-Building Collaboration – serving Perry, Bell, Johnson, Knox, Pike, Owsley, Martin, Floyd, Magoffin, Wolfe, Lee, Breathitt, Knott, Letcher, Leslie, Harlan, Jackson, Rockcastle, Clay, Wayne, McCreary, and Whitley counties

Northeastern Kentucky Asset-Building Coalition – serving Boyd, Lewis, Mason, Rowan and surrounding counties
